Social Media as a tool for talent.

Whilst this article is focused more on the gender split within social media, I found it interesting that the fashion industry is using social media to look for new talent.

“As social media has grown and become one of the most influential communication channels, it makes sense to make use of these platforms when looking for new talent.”

“Like it or not, the majority of your models are likely to be female, unless you’re an all-male model agency. As an agent optimizing your social media channels might just be your best bet in uncovering new female talent.”

As my website has stylist and blogger contributions, this is an opportunity for them to self-promote themselves, particularly for new and fresh stylists/blogger, and develop relationships.
